Questions about this product?
This zero halogen heat shrink tubing provides a safe and reliable solution for identifying very fine wires in applications where fire safety is critical. Technicians use it in electronics, control panels, automation systems, and industrial equipment with micro conductors.
With a 2:1 shrink ratio, the tubing adapts accurately to extremely small wire diameters. After shrinking, it fits tightly and remains in place. As a result, the identification stays clear and stable over time.
The material consists of zero halogen polyolefin, which limits toxic smoke and corrosive gas release in the event of fire. Therefore, the tubing is suitable for enclosed spaces and public areas.
The sleeve resists heat, abrasion, and common industrial chemicals. In addition, the printable surface remains clear, smudge-proof, and fade-resistant. Printing works with most 300 dpi thermal transfer printers.
Using this zero halogen heat shrink tubing ensures durable and compliant identification of very fine wires.
Specifications
- Shrink Ratio: 2:1
- NF F16-101: French railway fire safety standard (flammability, smoke, toxicity).
- DIN 5510-2: German railway standard for fire behaviour and smoke development.
- MIL-STD-202F / Method 215J: US military test for print permanence under harsh cleaning.
- RoHS Compliant: Restriction of Hazardous Substances. Confirms the product is free from harmful heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, etc.) and safe for use under EU environmental directives.
- SAE-AS 81531: Aerospace standard that tests the marking durability on wire and tubing. It ensures that printed text on sleeves stays legible after exposure to solvents, heat, and abrasion.
- MIL-STD-202F (Method 215J): U.S. military standard for electronic components. Method 215J specifically checks resistance of markings to solvents. It guarantees that identification does not fade or smear when cleaned with aggressive chemicals.
